Ledger Villa Lisbon

When brands create real space for the community

Context

During the NFC Summit, an international event dedicated to the world of NFTs held in Lisbon, the Ledger took on the role of main sponsor and sought to establish a presence that went beyond the visibility associated with sponsorship. The goal was to create a headquarters in the heart of the city that would serve as a strategic meeting point, capable of hosting B2B events during the day, meetings with partners, presentations, networking, and moments of alignment for the international team, while also activating the local artistic and crypto community through cultural and social experiences.

A Making Digital Simple was hired to develop and implement this concept, transforming a brand presence into a physical space with cultural significance and community relevance. As in the web3 universe, the challenge was to materialize digital concepts in a real context, creating a place where technology, art, and community could come together in a tangible, coherent, and memorable way.

Space as a starting point

The venue chosen was La Destilleria, opposite the National Pantheon. A former distillery and warehouse that has been renovated, where the original industrial design has been preserved and balanced with an atmosphere of exclusivity and sophistication.

The choice of venue reflected the ambition of the project: a place with a strong identity, central but off the beaten track, capable of hosting an immersive digital exhibition and, at the same time, events of a more institutional and social nature.

Community as the central axis

Ledger Villa Lisboa was conceived as a space where brands, art, and the web3 community could converge. To ensure cultural relevance and a genuine connection to Lisbon's art scene, a partnership was established with the collective led by Vhils, through his latest project, Ephemeral Eternal, a platform for presenting and selling NFTs by artists represented by the group.

The collective was invited to curate the space, bringing artistic credibility and a contemporary interpretation of the NFT universe. At the same time, a digital exhibition concept was developed based on image projection and light effects with geometric LED dynamics, creating an immersive environment that dialogued with the themes of technology, decentralization, and digital art.

In one of the rooms, collectibles from the event's partner were also included Playboy, presented in digital frames, contributing to the visual and conceptual composition of the space.

Two times, one experience

During the day, Ledger Villa Lisboa functioned as a B2B space, designed for strategic meetings, presentations, and qualified networking opportunities, also serving as a base of operations and regrouping point for the Ledger team present in the city.

At night, the space was transformed and opened its doors to the community. Two parties were held, designed as moments of celebration and encounter between the local scene and established names from the international web3 ecosystem. For these activations, Portuguese artist DJ Ride was invited to develop a DJ Act accompanied by VJing, with a visual narrative inspired by the concepts of security and ownership.

Impact and legacy

Both nights saw huge turnout from the Lisbon community, creating a natural crossroads between artists, creators, collectors, and international conference participants. More than just a temporary headquarters, Ledger Villa Lisboa established itself as an example of how brands from the technological universe can gain cultural dimension by creating physical spaces that translate digital values and narratives into the real world.
